Terms and Conditions for Tailor Made Building & Carpentry LTD –

  1. Introduction These terms and conditions (“Agreement”) govern the provision of building and carpentry services provided by Tailor Made Building & Carpentry LTD (“we,” “us,” “our”) to the client (“you,” “your”). By engaging our services, you agree to the terms outlined in this document.
  2. Scope of Work We will provide carpentry and building services or landscaping or any home improvement works as agreed upon in the written quotation or contract. The scope of work will be clearly defined before starting any project, including materials, labor, and estimated timeframes.
  3. Quotation & Pricing
    • All quotations provided are estimates and subject to change based on actual conditions, materials, and unforeseen complexities.
    • The final price may differ from the quotation due to changes in the scope of work, material availability, or other factors beyond our control.
    • A detailed, written quote will be provided for your approval before starting work.
    • A deposit may be required before work begins (typically 20-30% of the total project cost).
  4. Payment Terms
    • Payment for services rendered is due according to the payment schedule agreed upon in the contract or quote.
    • Final payment is due upon completion of the project, unless otherwise agreed.
    • Late payments may incur interest charges at a rate of 15% per month.
    • We reserve the right to halt work if payments are not received according to the agreed schedule.
  5. Changes to the Scope of Work
    • If you request additional work or modifications during the project, these will be agreed upon in writing, and a new quote or change order will be issued.
    • Additional costs for changes will be invoiced separately.
  6. Project Delays
    • We will make reasonable efforts to complete the work on time, but we are not responsible for delays due to factors beyond our control, such as adverse weather, material delays, or third-party supplier issues.
    • Any significant delays will be communicated promptly.
  7. Warranty
    • We offer a 12 month warranty on workmanship for all carpentry and building services. The warranty does not cover damages caused by misuse, natural disasters, or wear and tear.
    • Any defects covered by the warranty will be repaired at no cost to the client, provided the issue is reported within the warranty period.
  8. Health & Safety
    • We will adhere to all local building codes and safety regulations during the course of the project.
    • The client is responsible for ensuring a safe and accessible working environment.
  9. Client Responsibilities
    • You must provide access to the property, electrical supply, and any necessary permits (if applicable).
    • Ensure that the site is free from hazards and that any personal belongings are removed from the work area.
  10. Permits & Licenses
    • If necessary, the client is responsible for obtaining and paying for any required permits, licenses, or approvals before the commencement of work.
    • We will assist with permit applications if agreed upon, and related costs may be billed separately.
  11. Liability
    • Our liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from our work is limited to the total value of the contracted project, excluding indirect or consequential damages.
    • We carry appropriate insurance to cover damages resulting from accidents or errors during the project.
  12. Termination
    • Either party may terminate this agreement by providing written notice if there is a significant breach of terms or an inability to perform the services.
    • In the event of termination, you will be liable for payment for all completed work up to the date of termination, including any materials used.
  13. Dispute Resolution
    • Any disputes will be resolved through [mediation/arbitration] before taking legal action.
    • Both parties agree to attempt to resolve any disagreements amicably before proceeding to formal dispute resolution.

    • Any personal or business information exchanged between the client and our company will be kept confidential and will not be shared with third parties without prior consent, except where required by law.
  17. Entire Agreement This document represents the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any prior written or verbal agreements. Any amendments must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
